Pathways to Work

Are you looking for a job? Pathways to Work may be able to help. Our Pathways to Work program can help you learn about careers at UPMC. You can also find out about job training and support resources.

Our recruiters can provide:

  • Resume assistance.
  • Interview preparation.
  • Guidance on free workforce training opportunities at UPMC.
  • Help with applying for jobs at UPMC.

UPMC often has openings for jobs in both clinical fields and those that do not require medical training. These jobs include but are not limited to:*

  • Nursing support roles.
  • Medical assistants.
  • Customer service representatives.
  • Warehouse workers.
  • Environmental service associates.
  • Food service attendants.

*The positions listed here might not be available at all times. Our recruiters will work with candidates to identify the best fit for them based on available positions at UPMC.

 

Who is eligible?

Individuals who are unemployed or underemployed can join the program. People with barriers to finding and keeping a job, such as those with intellectual or physical challenges, are eligible too. You do not need to be a UPMC Community HealthChoices participant to join.

 

UPMC Community HealthChoices participants can get started today!

If you are a UPMC Community HealthChoices participant and are interested in Pathways to Work, we’re here to walk you through the process. Call 1-833-526-6271. TTY users should call 711. Help is available at these days and times:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants can also email pathwaystowork@upmc.edu. A recruiter should be able to answer your email within two business days. Participants who are eligible for Home and Community-Based Services are able to receive additional services to support employment goals.
